The bloom runs from around 12 March to 10 April each year, with the fullest colour in the final ten days of March. Timing shifts a few days earlier or later with the spring weather, so the last week of March is the safest choice. Lower fields along the rivers open first; the high terraces at Jiangling peak a little later.
