Twin, King and Family cabins are priced per person and sold on the basis of two guests sharing one cabin. The Grand Suite is sold as a whole suite at one price and accommodates up to two adults plus one child aged 12 or below; there are only two suites on board. If you are travelling alone, or as one adult with a child, please speak to a consultant and we will quote the arrangement that suits you.

Holders of an ordinary Singapore passport do not. Since 9 February 2024 Singapore and China have a mutual 30-day visa-free arrangement, which covers this journey comfortably. Travellers on other passports, for example a Singapore permanent resident holding a foreign passport, should check the rules that apply to them. Please make sure your passport is valid for at least six months from the departure date.

Full-route travel aboard the Silk Road Express in the cabin you book, all meals and drinks on board, every excursion and first-entry ticket in the programme, scenic-area shuttles and vehicle transfers throughout, and the care of the Mandarin-speaking crew. Every night is spent aboard the train, so there are no hotel nights to arrange. Flights to the departure city and home from the arrival city are not included.

Fifteen carriages, 38 en-suite cabins and no more than 80 guests. The exterior is the world's first fully hand-painted luxury tourist train, carrying Han-dynasty cloud motifs painted by a team from the Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts; the interiors are by HBA, their first luxury-train project. On board are two dining cars, a lounge car with a piano, a 270 degree observation car, a karaoke lounge, a games room with an automatic mahjong table and a cigar room. Each cabin receives a complimentary hour in both the karaoke and games rooms.

Day three crosses the border at Hekou into northern Vietnam and returns to China the same day, so bring your passport and keep it with you that day rather than in your cabin. Holders of an ordinary Singapore passport are exempt from a Vietnam visa for short visits, and re-entry to China is covered by the mutual 30-day visa-free arrangement between Singapore and China. Travellers on other passports should check both the Vietnamese entry rules and their own Chinese visa position before booking, since a single-entry Chinese visa would not permit the return. Your Destination Ambassador handles the group formalities at the crossing.

第三日于【河口】口岸出境进入越南北部，当日返回中国，故请携带护照并随身保管，勿留于舱房。持新加坡普通护照者短期访越免签，返回中国亦适用中新互免签证30天的安排。持其他国家护照者请于报名前同时确认越南入境规定及自身的中国签证状况，因单次入境的中国签证将无法再次入境。口岸的团体通关手续由地面度假大使统一办理。

Fansipan stands at about 3,143 m, the highest point in Indochina, but you reach the top by cable car rather than on foot, so the ascent asks nothing of you physically. The car is one of the longest in the world and the ride is the point as much as the summit. It is noticeably colder at the top than at the border, often close to freezing in December, so bring a warm jacket. Guests who prefer not to ride to the very top can stop at the upper station.

【番西邦峰】海拔约3143米，为中南半岛最高峰，但登顶乘索道而非徒步，体力上并无负担。该索道为世界最长者之一，乘坐过程本身与登顶同样值得。山顶较口岸明显寒冷，十二月常近冰点，请备保暖外套。不愿登至最高处的宾客，可于上站止步。
