Autumn is the finest season to visit Guangxi. The air turns crisp and clear, the Longji Rice Terraces glow golden at harvest, and the Li River runs bright beneath open skies. Spring brings green hills and blossom, summer is warm and lush with fuller rivers and waterfalls, and winter is quiet and cool with fewer crowds. Autumn simply balances comfort, colour, and clarity best.

Guilin Karst Landscape / 桂林喀斯特山水
Guilin’s forest of limestone peaks rising from flat plains is the signature image of China itself. The city sits amid rivers, lakes, and green hills, an ideal gateway to the whole region. It is scenery so celebrated that it has shaped Chinese painting for centuries.

Li River Cruise (Guilin to Yangshuo) / 漓江游船（桂林至阳朔）
The cruise down the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo is the heart of any Guangxi journey. For hours the boat glides past mist-wrapped peaks, bamboo groves, and fishermen on the water. Every bend opens onto another view worthy of a scroll painting.

Yangshuo West Street & Countryside / 阳朔西街与乡野

Detian Transnational Waterfall / 德天跨国瀑布
Straddling the China-Vietnam border, Detian is among the world’s largest transnational waterfalls. Its broad tiers of water tumble through green subtropical hills, shared by two countries. Standing before it, you can look across into Vietnam from Chinese soil.

Nanning, the Capital / 首府南宁
Nanning, the capital of Guangxi, is the region’s green, easygoing gateway. Framed by parks, lakes, and tree-lined avenues, it is where many journeys begin and end. It offers a relaxed city rhythm before and after the scenery.

Xingping (the 20-Yuan-Note Scene) / 兴坪（二十元人民币背景地）
The riverside town of Xingping frames the exact stretch of the Li River printed on the back of China’s 20-yuan note. Ancient lanes, fishing boats, and mirror-still water make it a favourite photo spot. Holding the note up against the real view is a small ritual for many travellers.

Do Singaporeans need a China visa? / 新加坡人需要办中国签证吗？
No. Singapore ordinary-passport holders enjoy 30-day mutual visa-free entry to China since 9 February 2024, which comfortably covers an 8-day Guangxi tour, so no China visa is required. Travellers on other passports, such as a Singapore PR holding a foreign passport, should check the rules for their own nationality.
不需要。自2024年2月9日起，新加坡普通护照持有者可享中国30天互免签证待遇，足以覆盖8天的广西行程，因此无需办理中国签证。持其他国家护照的旅客（例如持外国护照的新加坡永久居民），请自行查询本国国籍的相关规定。
When is the best time to go? / 什么时候去最好？
Autumn is the best overall season, with clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and the Longji terraces at their golden harvest. Spring and summer are green and lush, while winter is cool and quiet. Choose autumn if you want the finest all-round conditions.

How physically demanding is it? How much walking? / 体力要求高吗？走路多吗？
Guangxi is moderate and suits most travellers, with plenty of scenic time spent on cruise boats, coaches, and high-speed rail. The Longji Rice Terraces and old-town lanes involve some walking and gentle slopes, but it is at an unhurried pace. Comfortable shoes are all you really need.
