19 days aboard the Baiyun Express, the train themed on a traditional scholarly family, from Guangzhou across the whole of Xinjiang: Chongqing by night, the Heavenly Lake, Hemu and Kanas, Sayram Lake and the Tianshan grasslands, the red rock of the Keziliya canyon, Kashgar and the Pamir Plateau at Karakul Lake, then home by way of Bosten Lake and the Qarhan Salt Lake. As night falls, enjoy Chongqing’s signature hotpot. After dinner, take in the city’s layered night skyline from the Raffles City Sky Crystal observation deck, then board the train for Ürümqi.

On arrival in Ürümqi, visit the Heavenly Lake of Tianshan: spruce forests surround the lake and Bogda Peak is mirrored in the water, one of the finest places to meet the legends and the grand natural scenery of the Western Regions.

Travel along the Ahe Highway, known as the “Thousand-Mile Gallery”, to Hemu (about 6 hours). On arrival at “China’s most beautiful ancient village”, enjoy dinner and check in to the hotel.

Visit Chonghur, a Kazakh village, for traditional song and dance and authentic local food, then drive to Hemu (about 4 hours) for an exclusive tea break.

On arrival in Yining, drive to Sayram Lake (about 2 hours). In the afternoon, loop around the lake: a sheet of sapphire water, snow peaks mirrored at its centre and cloud shadows skimming the surface; standing on the shore, you are already inside the picture. After dinner, check in to the hotel.
抵达伊宁后，乘车前往【赛里木湖】。下午环湖穿行，一汪碧水铺展如蓝宝石，雪山倒映湖心，云影掠过水面，人在湖畔，已是画中。晚餐后，入住酒店。
Route B · B线
Drive the scenic sky road, the Yizhao Highway (about 2.5 hours), crossing river valley, forest, snow mountain and grassland in a single day. In the afternoon, reach Yuhu Lake in Zhaosu and check in to a lodge with a view; at dusk, a private boat cruise chases the sunset, with a sunset dinner on board.

After breakfast, visit the Kalajun Grassland (about 4 hours), a World Natural Heritage site of layered meadows, where grassland meets canyon and forest meets flower fields. Take a light grassland walk alongside herders and their flocks. After dinner, check in to a grassland camp and enjoy a bonfire evening.

Today, head to Kuerdening (about 2 hours), one of China’s ten most beautiful forests and the home of the Tianshan spruce; walking in, it feels like a fairytale forest. After the visit, return to Yining (about 2.5 hours) and board the train for Kuqa.
今日赴【库尔德宁】，中国十大最美森林之一，亦是天山雪岭云杉的故乡，置身其中，如临森林仙境。游览结束后，返回伊宁，接着乘专列前往库车。

Then visit a local Tajik family and watch the national intangible heritage of the eagle flute and the eagle dance.

Today, visit Karakul Lake, the pearl of the plateau, one of the world’s rare high-altitude lakes, ringed by ice peaks and snowy ridges. Admire the three great peaks of Muztagh Ata, Kongur and Kongur Tiube, then return to Kashgar and check in to the hotel.

Then continue to Bosten Lake, China’s largest inland freshwater lake and a national 5A scenic area: cruise through vast reed wetlands, admire the water lilies by boat and find the “Jiangnan beyond the Great Wall” of southern Xinjiang. Back on board, the train heads for Golmud.
