Do Singaporeans need a visa for China?
新加坡人去中国需要签证吗？
No visa is needed for these tours if you hold an ordinary Singapore passport. Since 9 February 2024, Singapore and China have a standing mutual 30-day visa-free arrangement: ordinary Singapore passport holders may enter mainland China visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, business, visiting family, or transit. As China Express Travel’s tours run 8 to 18 days — well within 30 — no visa is required.
如果您持普通新加坡护照，参加这些旅程无需签证。自2024年2月9日起，新加坡与中国实施长期互免签证安排：持普通新加坡护照者可免签进入中国大陆，停留最长30天，用于旅游、商务、探亲或过境。华运旅游的行程为8至18天，远在30天之内，因此无需签证。
A few important points to keep in mind:
- The 30-day visa-free entry applies to Singapore passport holders. If you travel on another passport — for example, a Singapore Permanent Resident or a foreigner living in Singapore who holds a Malaysian, Indian, or other passport — you are not automatically covered, and should check your own nationality’s China entry rules. Singapore passport = no visa needed; other passports = please confirm your own requirements. Our consultants are happy to advise and assist.
- Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from your travel date. Please confirm this before you travel.
- Entry rules can change. Always confirm the latest requirements with official sources — Singapore’s ICA or the Chinese embassy — or simply ask your China Express Travel consultant, and we will guide you.

Is China safe, and what is it like to travel there?

Yes. China is widely regarded as a very safe destination for tourists, with low levels of violent crime and a strong public-safety presence. As anywhere in the world, keep the usual care against petty pickpocketing in busy crowds, and you can travel with confidence. What is it actually like on tour? You travel with a professional Mandarin-speaking guide (English-speaking guide available on request) from start to finish. Transport and hotels are arranged for you, and China group travel insurance is included in your tour fare — peace of mind that first-time visitors and senior travellers especially appreciate. Everyday spending in China is largely cashless, through mobile payment, and your guide is on hand to help with the practical details along the way.

For high-plateau routes such as Tibet or West Sichuan, we keep the pacing gentle; travellers with heart or respiratory conditions should consult their doctor before travel.

Your tour fare covers international flights, coach and transport, twin-share hotels, the meals listed in each itinerary, attraction tickets, an experienced guide, and China group travel insurance. In short, the core of your trip is settled before you leave home.

What is added separately
需另行安排的费用
A few items are arranged separately: airport tax and driver & guide tips (added per traveller at booking on most fly-in tours), personal expenses, and a single-room supplement if you prefer not to share. A China visa is not included — but for Singapore ordinary-passport holders none is needed for these tours under the 30-day visa-free arrangement. Travellers on other passports (for example, Singapore PRs holding a foreign passport) are not automatically covered and should check their own nationality’s China entry rules. Entry rules can change, so always confirm the latest with official sources (ICA / the Chinese embassy) or your CET consultant before travel — our consultants will advise and assist.

When is the best time to visit China?

It varies by region. China spans deserts, high plateaus, coastlines and snow country, so the ideal season differs from Xinjiang to Yunnan to Harbin. Pack in layers, as the right clothing varies by region and season — China ranges from deserts to high plateaus to snow country. Bring comfortable walking shoes, any personal medication, and a passport valid for at least 6 months from travel.
